Your dashboard gives you a current snapshot of how you’re using your benefits. It shows:

  • A summary of your coverage and benefits.
  • Your most recently processed claims.
  • A link to your member ID card and other features.
  • What portions of your annual deductible and out-of-pocket maximum you have remaining.
  • Tools for finding care — medical, pharmacy, dental and vision, depending on your plan.

At the top of the screen and on the dashboard page, you’ll find links to more details about claims, coverage and spending.

Coverage
Next, check out the Coverage section. You can view more plan details and print a verification of coverage letter, if needed. You can also:

  • Confirm your copay and coinsurance amounts, if your plan has them.
  • Confirm your deductible amount and how much of it you have left for the year.
  • Check your out-of-pocket maximum.
  • Find out more about pharmacy and other benefits.

Claims
The Claims section lists your claims for the past 18 months. It’s also where you will find your Explanation of Benefits (EOB) records. The EOB shows how the claims were processed. It will show the service supplied, what your plan covers and your financial responsibility.

My Health
In the My Health section you can go to Find Care, Wellness and My Health History.

In Find Care, you can use Provider Finder® to search for doctors and other health care providers in your network. Since you are logged in to your account, you will see personalized search results based on your health plan and network. You can also find dentists in your network, if your coverage includes dental.

The Wellness section includes our Wellness Guidelines that offer recommendations for adult, perinatal and children's screenings and immunizations. The section also includes a list of wellness program benefits you may have. For example, your plan may include telehealth visits.

My Health History is an overview of your medical history based on your claims. You can see lists of the providers you’ve seen, your doctor visits and other health services and some test results from the past 12 months. It also lists your medicines and medical conditions from the past 24 months.

Pharmacy
If your health plan includes prescription drug coverage, you can look for network pharmacies in the Pharmacy section. If your health plan has preferred pharmacies, you will typically pay the lowest copay/coinsurance amount for your prescriptions at these locations.

Getting to know more about your health benefits will help you make better choices and give you peace of mind throughout the year. The more you know, the better you can look after your health. Log in to BAM today to make the most of your health care coverage.

Take Advantage of Your Preventive Services

When it comes to taking care of your health, it’s good to have a plan. And the beginning of the year is a good time to plan the next 12 months.

Start by scheduling a yearly exam. That’s the time to talk to your doctor about your total health, your risk factors and your family medical history. Those things determine what health screenings you need each year.

Health screenings can help spot a problem before it becomes a serious health issue. Preventive screenings are a big part of fighting disease. Many long-term illnesses can be prevented or managed better when found early.

Your benefits include some preventive services with no out-of-pocket costs*** for you when you see a doctor in your health plan’s network.

Services include certain screenings, vaccines and other types of care. To find out more, log in to Blue Access for MembersSM and go to the Coverage section. Then scroll down to Preventive Services.
