Ingredients: Makes 20 servings
1 1/2 pound old fashioned oats, dry
3 ounces sliced almonds
3 ounces sunflower seeds, unsalted
1 ounce brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp salt
3 TBSP pure maple syrup
2 tsp canola oil
2 ounces unsweetened applesauce
1/4 cup agave nectar
4 ounces pecan halves
4 ounces banana chips
3 ounces cranberries
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
- In large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients, expect pecans, banana chips and cranberries. Make sure the liquids evenly coal all ingredients. Coat a baking sheet with cooking spray or line with parchment paper. Spread mixture evenly onto sheet pan.
- Bake on center rack of preheated oven for 15 minutes. Toss granola and bake another 10 minutes. Granola should be a nice even, golden brown color.
- Place baking sheet on a wire rack to cool for 20-25 minutes or until room temperature. Break up granola into pieces. Add pecans, banana chips, cranberries and toss to combine.
